Hasty launches Krymp — a free toolbox for creators

When you drop a file in, it is loaded locally in your browser. Images are processed with Canvas and modern encoders, video with ffmpeg.wasm and PDFs with pdf-lib. Nothing is ever sent to a server — you can disconnect from the network and the site still works.

Norrhavet Group is launching Krymp, a free collection of web tools for anyone who needs to quickly compress, convert or adapt images, video and PDF files. The service is built to solve a common everyday problem for entrepreneurs, marketing teams, creators and individuals: getting the right format, the right file size and the right crop without creating an account, uploading files to a third-party server or hitting a paywall.

Krymp runs directly in the browser and requires no installation. You can compress JPG, PNG and WEBP, shrink MP4, MOV and WebM, convert between image formats, optimise PDFs and produce ready-to-publish social media formats. Files are processed locally using WebAssembly, Canvas, ffmpeg.wasm and pdf-lib — they never leave the user's device.

"We built Krymp because we ourselves were missing a fast, safe and frictionless toolbox in our daily work. Many simple file problems become unnecessarily time-consuming when you are forced to upload material, create accounts or pay for features you only need for a few seconds. Krymp is our answer to that."

Privacy is a central part of Krymp. Because all processing happens locally in the browser, files never leave the device. That makes the service particularly relevant for people and organisations who handle sensitive, unpublished or internal material but still need simple tools for everyday production flows. After the first load, Krymp also works fully offline.
